LAN/WAN/VPN

You hear about connectivity every time you turn around. Why? Because connectivity is the key to keeping in touch with your customers, vendors and employees. Only through efficient local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) will you be able to move your critical information in a timely and responsive manner.

Lead Systems experts can ensure that you will be able to meet all your connectivity needs through proper LAN/WAN/VPN design. We will select a network topology based on your specific performance and support needs both for today and for the future.

Information in a vacuum is of little value. Lead Systems engineers are especially adept at tying all of your equipment together so that your information will move to the right people at the right time.

We design our local area networks so that you will maximize information throughput and resource sharing. Our wide area networks will allow your critical information to flow throughout and outside of the enterprise at the highest available speeds.

Lead System's local and wide area network installations have the following advantages:

Improved Network Management: The network manager can check statistics, view the file server, and perform routine file maintenance tasks at all branches from his or her desk. Centralized management capabilities improve overall performance and decrease costs.
Backup: Without a WAN, each server must have it's own tape backup hardware and software. Not only is this more expensive, but it can create problems if strict procedures aren't followed.
Improved End User Support: End Users can be supported from any branch. With the proper software selection, support personnel can see on his/her screen the exact same thing that the end user sees. The two can interact via their keyboards and mice.
Software Updates: New versions of software can be installed or updated on a remote file server without ever leaving the main office.
Improved Resource Sharing: A user on any network can be allowed to access another resource on a different network. A user at any location could be allowed to access the communications server through the WAN. Users at branch offices could access an Image Server (for signature verification), a Database Server (for loan origination), etc., without purchasing equipment for each individual branch.
Improved Communications: Implementation of an Electronic Mail (E-Mail) package would rely heavily on the WAN. Users would be able to send messages, attach files and have them routed across the network to a user at another branch.
Consolidated Management Reporting: Management information can be gathered and compiled into a single source document. This results in everyone having exactly the same information.
